Kwara State Governorship Election Results

In Kwara State, the long battle for supremacy between redoubtable kingmaker Dr. Olusola Saraki and his son Governor Bukola Saraki appears to be ending in favour of the son, with his PDP candidate Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed leading in yesterday's race against Bukola's sister, the ACPN candidate Senator Gbemisola Saraki and the CAN candidate Mohamed Dele Belgore.

According to early results from Ajikobi Ode Opobiyi ward 021, 005 and 006, PDP led with 124, 207 and 194 votes respectively against ACPN's 86, 90 and 74 while ACN got 43, 46 and 80. CPC had 1, 2 and 1 votes respectively.
In Osere Junction of Oko Erin area, ACN had 211, ACPN 97, PDP 87 and CPC 2. In Ode Balogun Alanamu, ACN scored 241, PDP 135, ACPN 27 and CPC 2. In Ode Olomomesan unit, PDP had 236, ACN 85, ACPN 15 and CPC 0.
In Ode Koto, PDP led with 207, ACN 120, ACPN 13 while CPC had zero votes. In four units of Magaji Aare ward 025, 003, 023 and 007 ACN won three of the polling units with 151, 94, 70 and 37. PDP won one unit with 42, 58, 50 and 88 respectively, ACPN 20, 17, 18 and 17 while CPC scored 0, 23, 15 and 17. Report from Offa local government also shows that ACN won in majority of the polling units.
